Company Presentation:

EKO-PRO is a consulting company which provides advisory services as well as design and execution services in respect of industrial scale wind power plant projects.

The wind power plant solutions developed by EKO-PRO include unique, innovative elements, which have not been applied yet in any existing facilities.
Some of these solutions are protected under patent applications while other constitute acquired knowledge, the so-called "know how."

Zbyszko Jaroszewicz is EKO-PRO's founder and owner as well as the author of the patent applications made.

The wind power plant solutions offered by EKO-PRO are a result of many years of research and tests on small-scale prototypes. The most recently developed and tested prototypes present solutions which are feasible and very attractive business-wise, because they are competitive, in financial terms, to the solutions which are currently applied in the large Offshore Wind Power Plants sector.

The main criterion for EKO-PRO in designing new solutions is cost effectiveness; we apply the principle that the costs of execution thereof must be lower than the costs of the solutions employed to date.

We have developed such cost-effective solutions for offshore power plants with generating sets of power output 5 MW which have recently appeared on the market.

On the client's request, EKO-PRO may construct a pilot offshore power plant which shall be a medium-scale prototype.
Good results of the operation of the pilot power plant shall help to take a decision to build a wind farm where power generating sets 5 MW shall be supplied by reknown producers, whereas the foundations and towers shall be constructed according to EKO-PRO solutions.

(more information)

At present, EKO-PRO focuses its activities on offshore wind power plants of large power output. We have tested many prototype constructions, or parts thereof, which simulated the work of power plants installed offshore.
EKO-PRO has also devoted considerable work in the construction of land-based wind power plant prototypes, but decided to discontinue this field of research, due to the fact that small and medium wind power plants available on the market are unable to produce electricity at prices competitive to those for the electricity supplied via power grid, despite the preferences granted to producers of electrical energy from renevable sources.
This is because the voltage regulations systems used in the conditions of changing wind speed are rather expensive and the rotor of such a power plant is located at the height of 40-50 metres and therefore cannot ensure sufficiently large electrical energy production. Another disadvantage of such facilities is a relatively small amount of electricity which may be obtained from 1 km2 of the area of the wind power farm.
The innovative solutions of EKO-PRO could not make up for these unfavourable factors and therefore we have discontinued these projects.
Wind conditions at the height of 80-100 m are much better and wind power plants fixed on appropriately high towers which have a power output of at least 1 MW and are located in the area where wind conditions are good are competitive to, for instance, hard coal-fired power plants, provided that appropriate preferences are employed.
In our opinion, the development of such big wind power plants constructed on land seems certain.
Thanks to constant improvement of the solutions applied in the power generating sets and the construction of towers and foundations as well as in the manner of assembly thereof, the above-mentioned wind power plants are quite sophisticated in terms of technology and EKO-PRO cannot offer anything better than what has already been achieved.
